The original title of the presentation. How to make the coolest presentation that will win the hearts of all viewers? How to combine fonts when creating a presentation

  • 13.11.2019

So, we present you 10 examples of stylish Russian-language presentations:

And now a little about the features of creating presentations. Let's start with the main components of any presentation and their purpose.

Illustrations and color

Illustrations are used to quickly convey the meaning of the slide, since pictures are perceived much faster than text. The chosen color also plays an important role here, it will allow you to correctly place accents and highlight the text against the general background and pictures.

You can use any image - from funny pictures to attract attention and increase the interest of viewers to infographics, without which it is difficult to imagine, for example, presentations of economic or analytical companies.

Lists

We often see lists on presentation slides. The thing is that structuring information allows you to improve its perception. In addition, the amount of information itself is significantly reduced, since all the most important things are expressed in theses in the list items.

Lists can also be designed in the most unexpected way, up to the design in the form of comics.

Titles

Headings are an indispensable part of each presentation slide and carry a great semantic load, as they reveal the whole meaning of each slide.

conclusions

Often in presentations large volumes of rather heavy information are presented. Help the audience understand it better and draw conclusions at the end of each slide or series of slides, sum up, highlighting the most important points. Such an information box is usually located at the bottom of the slide and is designed as a note or footnote.

And in conclusion, I would like to say that knowledge comes with experience, so before you start creating your first presentation, familiarize yourself with the presentations of popular famous companies and see how they do it.

Platforms: Windows, macOS, web, Android and iOS.
Price: free trial or subscription from 269 rubles per month.

The most popular presentation software has a fairly simple interface and is supported on different devices. Multiplatform is perhaps the main advantage of the program from Microsoft. As for the visual component, the templates do not always correspond to the trends in the field of design.

PowerPoint allows you to edit slide backgrounds and templates, use different fonts (many of them are in Russian), and insert multimedia.

  • Platforms: web, chrome, android and ios.
  • Price: is free.

The service is suitable if you need to quickly assemble a standard-looking presentation with a modern design, but without a big . Designs are divided into three groups: "Personal", "Education", "Business". In total, about 20 different templates are available - optimally, to choose the right one and not get stuck, sorting through the options. For those who prefer their own design, there is an option to create slides from scratch.

You can add charts, graphs and videos (Google Drive and YouTube only). It is convenient that you can edit the presentation both online and offline: when the Internet is connected, the content is automatically synchronized. There are both free and paid ones (it is not clear why, because you can almost always pick up a free analogue). It is convenient that each of them is easy to customize, changing beyond recognition. You can customize everything: add or remove objects, choose colors, icons and fonts. You can change the size of slides in the paid version by subscription.

Canva supports Russian fonts, but there aren't many of them. The finished presentation can be downloaded in PDF, PNG or JPG.

  • Price: is free.

An analogue of Canva with an even friendlier interface and full support for Russian fonts.

Images can be searched directly in Crello: there is a search for paid and free ones and the ability to upload your own.

By default, the service supports many Russian fonts. It is also possible to add your own. You just need to load it once, and the font will appear in the drop-down list.

5. Tilda

  • Platforms: web.
  • Price: free of charge or from 500 rubles per month.

Initially, the service is designed for quick and easy layout of websites and landing pages, but it can also be used for presentations.

The main feature is an intuitive Russian-language interface and the ability to work without knowing the code. All actions are performed in the visual editor by adding new blocks. All templates were developed by professionals, taking into account trends in design.

Tilda supports beautiful Russian fonts, so there will be no problems with this.

When the presentation in the form of a one-page site is ready, it must be saved to PDF page by page and edited in any computer (if necessary).

6 Visme

  • Platforms: web.
  • Price: free or from $12 per month.

Available templates from designers, you can download and use your multimedia materials (audio, video, animation, PowerPoint slides). It is convenient that several people can edit the presentation at once. It also has the ability to edit offline.

There are few Russian fonts, but all the main ones are there.

One of the most popular services among owners of "apple" devices. When there is such a regular tool, you can not look for anything else. Many users agree that Keynote has a simpler interface than the legendary PowerPoint.

The web version of Keynote is available to owners of any device (you will need to enter or register an Apple ID by opening the site in a browser).

The library has many beautiful and concise templates that can be optimized for content and tasks. Synchronization with iCloud allows multiple users to simultaneously edit a presentation in real time.

It is convenient that you can download a presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint format (PPTX and PPT), make changes, and then save it in the desired format, which is readable not only on Apple gadgets (PDF).

What to include in a presentation

1. Tell a story

Listening to history is much more interesting than a dry enumeration of facts, excerpts from books and statistics. Turn your presentation into a captivating, imaginative story. So the necessary information will be remembered by listeners.

2. Consider the structure

You need to understand what your presentation will be about and how exactly you will convey information to the audience before you start collecting a document in one of the services. No matter how attractive the design is, if the structure is lame and the facts are presented chaotically, it is unlikely to work.

3. Prioritize images

Today, not everyone likes to read. If text can be replaced with images, do so. Use the icons beautiful pictures, qualitative schemes and diagrams. Looking at them is more interesting than reading a large array of text.

4. Remove everything unnecessary

If you can refuse something without compromising the meaning, feel free to do it. Cutting off everything unnecessary, shortening the text, removing distracting effects, you formulate your thoughts more accurately. The clearer your message, the easier it is for the audience to perceive it.

How to make a presentation

1. Forget Outdated PowerPoint Templates

While a PowerPoint presentation used to look fine, with the advent of more winning templates, it looks outdated. If you plan to use and edit the presentation in the future, it is better to assemble a “skeleton” once from templates in one of the above services or create your own. Then you will only need to change the content in them - this will not take much time, but it will allow you to beautifully present the material.

2. Use 3-5 colors

This is a rule that allows you to avoid too colorful design that distracts from the content of the presentation.

There are three base colors and two additional (shades of the primary colors, they are used if necessary). The first color is allocated for the background, the second and third for the text. The colors that are used for text should be contrasting so that the content is easy to read.

As a rule, among the main colors there are corporate colors of your company. If there are none, you can use one of the sites for the selection of flowers.

3. Add line and flat icons

Volumetric low-quality icons seem to say: "The person who made this presentation is stuck in the 2000s."

Flat minimalistic icons will make your presentation more modern and concise, allowing you to visualize information. This site has thousands of stylish icon options that you can download for free.

4. Use sans-serif fonts

If you are not a professional designer, it is better to choose simple and readable sans-serif fonts. This is a versatile option that is suitable for any presentation. Here are a few examples to consider:

  • Arial;
  • Arial Narrow;
  • Arial Black (for headings);
  • Calibri
  • Bebas (for headers);
  • roboto;
  • Helvetica;
  • open Sans.

In one presentation, it is better to use one group of fonts and change only the style.

5. Choose only high-quality images

By what images you choose for your presentation, people will judge your taste. Today, when there are so many open sources, it is not always possible to properly manage them. Here's what to avoid:

  • pictures from search engines;
  • images with forced smiles of people and a white background from stocks;
  • low-resolution pictures (less than 1,000 pixels on the long side).

Look for photos on free photo stocks. There are many of them, you can find the right picture in most cases.

6. Insert beautiful tables and charts

All the rules described above apply to this item as well. When making a diagram, choose the right colors, get rid of unnecessary content and save the result in high resolution. Any table or chart in your presentation should be simple, clear, and concise. The background should be left white.

How to make a presentation

1. Rehearse

Rehearsal - good way cope with the excitement and once again systematize the information for yourself. Speak in front of a mirror or colleagues - this will help you stay more confident. If possible, use Presenter View (like Keynote has one). In this mode, slide notes, timing, next slide, and other useful information will be displayed on your computer screen during your presentation.

2. Talk to the audience

A successful presentation is a dialogue, not a monologue. Ask the audience what they think about this or that matter, whether they agree with you, or if they have a different opinion. Interactive will make the presentation not only more memorable, but also more productive - both for the speaker and for the audience.

3. Be aware of the timing

As a rule, the time required for a presentation is calculated from the ratio 1 minute = 1 slide. So, if you have 20 slides, the presentation will take at least 20 minutes. Keep an eye on the time, because too fast presentation of the material will not be effective, and a prolonged presentation will not please the audience.

I want to disappoint you, but PowerPoint does not include design templates. Often these templates are no longer in vogue and will immediately be perceived by your audience as a "low-quality product".

I suggest 2 solutions:

1. Don't use templates at all. Unite your slides with a single color scheme and make the format and position of the titles the same on all slides except the first and last.

2.Create your own templates if you plan to use and edit this presentation in future. To do this, we need to go to the tab View -> Slide Master. This is a secret room, which not everyone knows about, as practice shows :)

In this section, we can create our own template!

I usually delete all the default master slides in the left tab and create mine from scratch. All you need here is to add fillers and decorate them.

Now you have your own template. Bonus: As a reward for reading this section, I want to give you my secret weapon for creating presentations - a free template of 800 animated slides with infographics, icons and maps, which is very creative. Believe me, it's worth it :) (on our page you can subscribe and get 800 cherished templates)

2 Use 3-5 base colors when creating presentations.

Please do not use more than 5 different colors in your presentation. Moreover, use only 3 base colors, as the other 2 are usually shades of the base colors. How to choose a color palette.

⁃ One of the three shades should be highlighted for the background. Decide right away - it will be a presentation with a light or dark background. If you are an advanced designer, you can try to alternate, but in this article I skip these experiments.

⁃ Next, choose a color for the text. It should be as contrasting as possible with respect to the background color. The ideal and often found option: the background is white - the text is black. But this option is inferior in terms of creativity :) So let's look at a few examples. Maybe I can give you some ideas:Gray background, blue body text and dark gray accent. White background, black text, blue accent. 3 Colors. Alternates with a dark background and white text. dark background, white text, lime accent. Shades of light green are also used here and a dark and light background alternates.

If you still couldn’t decide on a color palette or you don’t have a company/project brand book, then I suggest you the following resource color.adobe.com

Here you can choose a color palette based on the image, as well as in the "Explore" tab (Watch) see the solutions of other users and even find out the number of views and likes :)

3 Refuse 3D icons from search engines - turn to linear and flat icons.

Unfortunately, I still often see slides that use voluminous low-quality icons. Now it is an outdated theme and looks very ugly. And some do not use icons at all, which is also bad, because visualization is important in the presentation, and not just solid text. Purpose of icons: replace unnecessary text and speed up the memorability and comprehensibility of information. My advice to you: use icons from this resource when creating a presentation - flaticon.com

Flaticon icons will make your presentation more modern and concise.

There is a section there Packs", where you can find icons of the same style on a specific topic from one designer. I advise you to select icons in a complex way so that everyone is in the same style.

Subconsciously, we feel every detail in the presentation up to the line thickness of the icons, and if this thickness is different between the icons, then the presentation immediately ceases to harmonize, and subconsciously we no longer perceive it as a quality one.

Also, when working with icons, I want to note such a trend among people as "syndrome of blindness". This is when everything in the presentation is done in large sizes - "for everyone to see." Making everything huge will greatly reduce the quality of your presentation, and icons only look good at small sizes. Let's look at an example:

4 Each slide is a picture and needs a frame. Or not needed?

When creating a presentation, respect the frame from the borders of the slide. Moreover, large frames are in fashion now. Important: the distance from the borders to the content of the slide should be the same on all sides. Example:
What can happen? It may turn out that the content that you planned to place does not fit on one slide, and that's good! No need to try to cram everything on one page. It's better to split it into two slides with the same title.

One slide - one message.

Why do everything in large sizes - the slide needs air.

5 Give up bad habits. Quit with serif fonts.

If you are not an avid designer and do not experiment with fonts, then I advise you not to use serif fonts.

I offer you the following list of fonts: System fonts:

Arial Black (headers only)

Calibri Third party fonts:

Bebas (headers only)

Gotham Pro How to combine fonts when creating a presentation?

If you have never touched on the topic of font combinations before, then I advise you to use only one group of fonts when creating a presentation and change only its type. For example, make the heading Arial Black, and for plain text Arial, or another option from third-party fonts - the heading is Raleway Bold, and the body text is Raleway Regular.

If you still decide experiment, then you can try the following combinations:

Bebas Bold - header

Raleway Regular - plain text

For other combinations, I prefer to choose one font and change only its type. This is more correct.

And here's a couple links which I personally use to download fonts:

6 When creating a presentation, use only high-quality images.

This is generally a sore subject. Especially here in Russia. If anyone has read Artemy Lebedev's book "Kovodstvo", then there he clearly notes how, due to the fall of design culture after the collapse of the USSR, our population's taste for quality design was distorted in parallel. Perhaps you are reading now and will never appreciate the work that I am celebrating here. And it's not because you're a bad person, but because our environment hasn't allowed you to develop good design taste.

I can only give advice what has been working great in our studio for several years and is valued at the international level (tested on all continents of planet Earth):

⁃ Do not use images from search engines as background images if it is not necessary

⁃ Download images only from specialized sites where photographers publish their work

⁃ Use high-resolution images as the background - for me it is at least 1000 pixels in height and width

⁃ Do not use stock images with forced smiles of people and a white background. It looks unnatural.

⁃ You can use the following resources as sources: flickr , unsplash , everypixel

7 Do not use outlines. Either fat or nothing.

Now let's dive into the design a bit.

You may notice that when you draw a shape in PowerPoint, it may come out blue and with a light blue outline. Important: remove these lines immediately. They will only emphasize that you are not in trend and did not want to bathe with the design of the presentation.

Which begs the question: are contours out of fashion now?

Answer: no, they just mutated into large frames :). Here are the contours you can still use now:

And the rest - yes, the contours have gone out of fashion like white wigs once did.

8 Do not use shadows. Either large and blurry, or none.

Shadows, of course, have not gone out of fashion, unlike contours. But they have turned into something exclusive and expensive. Like a Patek Philippe watch. You either buy an original or a Chinese fake and everyone understands that this is a Chinese fake.

The moral of the story is this: if you can create trendy shadows, great! If not, then please cancel them everywhere in the tab " Format".

PowerPoint comes with shadows by default (especially in earlier versions). And I can tell you for sure that such shadows should be removed immediately from the template. Let's look at examples: Bad shadows from PowerPoint

Nice shadow from Dribbble
Nice shadow from PowerPoint I even attach the settings for you if you still want to use shadows. But use this power wisely ☝ and don't cast such a shadow on all the figures in a row so that they don't fill the entire background.

9 How to make tables and charts beautiful? Remove all unnecessary.

Here, in fact, the rules intersect, but I noticed that for some, when it comes to tables and diagrams, they seem to forget everything: the rule of colors, outlines, shadows, frames, and the like.

However, I have already described all the errors. The only thing left to do is not to do it. :) Let's see in practice:

Here is the smoker's table:

What is the difference? One is heavy and bulky, the other is clean and concise. Note:

⁃ There is free space between the cell border and the content.

⁃ Of course there are no contours

⁃ No extra shadows

⁃ Some fields are not shaded at all

10 The slide is your canvas. Be creative. Imagine that you have a brush in your hand.

If presentations were created in Paint, the slides would look much more creative. I say this because often we ourselves drive ourselves into PowerPoint template frames, although there you can also create unique works of art. Consider examples of slides created in PowerPoint:

I wish you to create only high-quality presentations for your projects!

Here are five quick tips to help you get the most out of your infographic PPT theme:

1. Simplify slide design

Representing data as much as possible in an effective way will raise your authority. It will positively influence the opinion of the audience, help promote your brand and close deals.

Check the data and be careful with them. Your information must be presented in a clean manner.

Unify your design. Keep in mind that one color combines similar information, while different ones are designed to separate it. Using modern sans serif fonts will add consistency to the presentation of the data. Do not overcrowd slides, leave more free space.

2. Be Clarity and Focus

You probably have a pile of data to review. It can be difficult to select the information you need to view, but this is the key to impact. Determine your emphasis for each slide. Even better would be to focus on a single value for each element.

This is the principle of building any frame. Keep in mind that the more comparable data you offer, the more you confuse your audience. When in doubt, add another slide to divert attention to it. Bring clarity of thought to each slide.

3. Make your data the protagonist

Your goal is to provide deep knowledge. Your information should be exclusive and understandable for listeners.

A little confusion in the data can easily be confusing. Do you really need this description section? Is this photo of men in suits real? Are all those pointing arrows in the right place? Questions you should ask for each element. Each component should add appeal to the data and not confuse the audience with your thoughts.

4. Select the best infographics

There are countless ways to present your data: graphs, flowcharts, charts, comparison tables, line graphs, histograms - ad infinitum.

Choose the graphic options that best suit your information. The format used for visualization should clarify your point of view, make it the most understandable.

5. Tell a story in pictures

It's tempting to show all your research data, but it will overwhelm viewers. Take only those that are necessary for the story. Guide the audience through showing the plot of the story.

If you're doing a sales presentation, show something that will make the audience rush to buy. If you are promoting the idea of starting a business, offer information that will get these venture capitalists to invest in it. If you inspire your team with quarterly accomplishments, show numbers that reflect the milestones you've achieved.

Have a clear goal and choose data to achieve it.

Each of the PowerPoint templates offered in this article provides you with great opportunities for presentations. You can choose the most appropriate format for presenting information and put the most necessary slides into it to tell a fascinating story.
