An explanatory note for writing the script and staging the literary and musical composition "Masque Ball" based on the works of M.Yu. Lermontov.
The script brought to your attention was written by me in order to expand the cultural, emotional, speech range of students. Of course, Lermontov's works are taught at school, but I'm sure this is absolutely not enough for a deeper understanding of the genius writer's legacy. Therefore, when writing the script, I tried to include excerpts (or entire works) from what was written by M.Yu. Lermontov.
Since our City School of the Artistic Word is not a theater, but a school where we learn to speak correctly, competently, beautifully, emotionally, we make our literary programs with a minimum of costumes and scenery. For Masquerade Ball, a small exception was made - it was necessary to create exactly the atmosphere of a 19th century ball, which is difficult to feel in sweaters and jeans. Hence - evening dresses for girls and tailcoats or suits for boys. The program was a great success, the students were imbued with the exact, strong thought of the great poet and the amazing imagery and musicality of its embodiment. An important result of our performance was that the students decided to read everything written by Mikhail Yuryevich ... but he did not write so much - his life turned out to be too short.
I can recommend our program (and similar ones) for holding literary evenings in groups - they are extremely important for the full development of the child in many aspects: intellectual, emotional, important for the qualitative improvement of a teenager's speech.
