In the screenshot, you see the window that I have and instead of the video there is my photo - this is because I turned off the camera. If you are not broadcasting yourself to the camera, then a photo from the Google+ page is substituted instead, as in my case.

I want to note that the broadcast has not yet begun, i.e. we have already opened the broadcast control window, but until the green “Start Broadcast” button is pressed, our viewers will not see anything. If we click on this button, then the live broadcast will start regardless of what time we have specified in the settings.

The next icon allows you to adjust the video quality. If you have a weak internet and the video slows down, you can open this setting and make the video quality a little lower, due to this, the transmission speed of the broadcast will increase.

The next gear icon hides your webcam and microphone settings underneath. If you are not transmitting sound or video, go to these settings.

And the last icon in the form of a red tube means the end of the broadcast. If you click on it, the broadcast control window will close.

2. Additional settings panel

Now let's take a look at the left settings panel. It automatically collapses if you do not perform any manipulations. To call it, you need to move the mouse cursor to the left edge of our window.

3. Take a screenshot. This icon allows you to take a snapshot of your video meeting. Click once on the icon, after that a round camera icon will appear at the very bottom of the webinar window, click on it and a snapshot (screenshot) of the video of the meeting is created.

Here you can make settings that apply to other speakers. Again, only used if your webinar is hosted by multiple people. There you can turn off their sound, etc.

In this settings block, you can turn on / off the host's camera and microphone, as well as adjust the volume.

This setting is made so that you can have a little fun. It only works when the webcam is on. Hangouts automatically detects the location of your head and attaches various funny hats and mustaches to it.

Using this icon, you can enable the broadcast of any video from youtube on your webinar. In order to start broadcasting any video, click on this icon, then in the pop-up window that appears, click on the "Add video to playlist" button and in the search bar enter either the address of a specific video, or keyword. Then click on the green plus to the right of the video you want to add to the playlist.

After all these manipulations, the video starts playing automatically. And there is a very useful button (green, just below the video). When you start the video, your microphone is automatically muted. If you press and hold the green "Unmute" button, Hangouts will mute the live video so your listeners can hear you better. Once you've finished speaking, release the green button and the video will play at normal volume again.

To stop broadcasting the video, click on the Youtube icon again.

This icon displays disabled applications. Also, using this icon, you can add additional applications from the Google catalog.

3. Start broadcasting

After that, a pop-up window appears in which we are informed that the live hangout has ended and the recording of the broadcast will appear on our channel in the video manager in a few minutes. Click "Close", the window closes. Now you can go to the channel and watch the recording of the broadcast.

And here it is very conveniently done: the recording of the broadcast will be located at the same link as the broadcast itself. Those. the recording automatically replaces the live broadcast.
