My first acquaintance with Detsky Mir took place in the summer ... in July ... on Monday .... It so happened that I met relatives from Kubinka that day, who had gone to Moscow for a walk. There was a 10 year old girl with the adults. I offered to go to the Lubyanka in the Children's World, they say I read the reviews, they write that there is a real paradise on Earth. Let's take the baby...

How to get there. Metro Lubyanka. Exit directly from the subway. There is a sign at the station showing you where to go.

Entering the CDM from the metro side, you will go straight to a string of shops. You will also find an interactive photo studio.

The central entrance will lead you to the main atrium, decorated with paintings from children's fairy tales about the frog princess, Vasilisa the Beautiful, Tsar Saltan and others.

Also in the main atrium you can see the giant monumental clock "Rocket". An amazing sight, striking in its scale. I don’t know how anyone, but I was amazed by the look of the Rocket.

The CDM has several escalators and glass elevators. On weekends, it is better not to use the elevator if your child has long grown out of the stroller, or if you came without a child at all. By the way, on the elevator doors it says:

We ask you not to take the elevator, because. a lot of people with baby carriages.

Unfortunately, no one follows this rule and everyone rides the elevator instead of using the escalator, and parents with strollers are forced to wait for an empty elevator to go up or down.

Toys.

You can not only look at many toys in the Central House of Children's Houses, but also touch them, and even play with some of them.

On the ground floor, I remember even walking a small electronic dinosaur. He could be stroked, to which he reacted amusingly with a purr and wagging his tail. Apparently, this miracle of technology was released only on Mondays))), because on other days little visitors would simply trample it))). And so, there are no people, stroke the animal as much as you want)).

Some of the toys are presented in a fairly large scale. For example, Little Ponies, beloved by many girls. When I took my daughter to the Central Children's House, she hugged all the ponies and took pictures with each one several times.

With Equestria Girls you can sing karaoke. All these almost human-sized dolls stand side by side on a small stage.

You can sit in a pumpkin carriage.

Touch the giant Furby.

Gaze at huge transformers (it’s even scary to approach them. It seems now how it will come to life and go to destroy everything))).

Stand next to Thomas the engine.

On the ground floor there is a miniature model of the area where the locomotive travels. My daughter stood near this locomotive for a long time))).

There seems to be a carousel and a mini-railway on the second floor. You can ride there for free. Because Since we were at the Central House of Music for the first time on Monday, there were very few visitors. Our girl was rolled on the carousel alone.

On another day (also Monday), but before the new year, there were more children, and the girls who followed the carousel specially collected several who wanted to ride. Apparently not to waste electricity. One child was even persuaded to ride.

On the same floor where the carousel is located world of LEGO. There are many stationary figures made of blocks around, and there are also tables with Lego pieces. You can sit down with your child and play in the designer.

And of course, the CDM could not do without the legendary Masha and the Bear. Those who wish to sit in the Bear's chair and watch his TV set are given this opportunity. Well, there is a Bear himself, sitting on a bench near the makeshift entrance to the house. But Masha can be found on the balcony of the same floor in the company of a huge .... giraffe))).

Master class at the Sylvanian Families cabin

D children sculpted from plasticine, glued stickers on disks. And then the rabbit Maria came and the funny dances began...

But mass dance show, in which everyone could participate.

In several photos, a family from Japan is dancing on the red carpet to "Rasputin")...

Among other things, on one of the floors there is a piano located on the floor. Accordingly, you can play such an instrument only with your feet ... But the trouble is, the weight of some visitors is not enough to fully press the huge key in comparison. My 14-kilogram daughter just ran across the piano and did not understand why my mother insisted on walking along this black and white path.

KIDBURG- this is something that will be interesting for children from 4-5 years old. The city where the children live is located on the 5th floor.

The city hall, post office, labor exchange, port, hospital, Ministry of Emergency Situations, television and radio studios and other institutions are located on 3000 square meters, without which it is impossible to imagine a modern metropolis. A supermarket, a city cafe, a bakery have been opened for visitors, new play areas have been developed exclusively for Moscow - a mine, an architectural bureau, a flower shop, a court, a travel agency and others.

Somehow they took my nephew there. The guy is 9 years old. They barely got him out of this fun.

Children there get professions, earn money, put out fires, work as doctors, security guards, policemen. Ours in the bakery hung, it really hurt to bake Easter cakes))).

Very cool project. Children there feel grown-up and important))) well, it’s just pure tenderness, neither give nor take)))

Entertainment is not free . Prices can be viewed on the official website of the CDM.

Interactive complex "Visiting Alice" or "Alice in Wonderland", located on the 3rd floor. Nothing special but kids love it.

What the complex is like is several sensory tables where you can paint the characters of the fairy tale about Alice. You choose a color from the menu and move your finger over the picture.

Next to the tables is a magic tree, on which fairy-tale characters hung.

Where to eat...

On the 6th floor there is a gluttonous place that no McDonald's. Where would it be without him))) Even here he fit in and gathers crowds.

We were looking for a cafe with a children's menu there. To be honest, they didn’t find anything so childish.

There is also a cafe on other floors. On the third there is a place where, next to the tables, there is a small fenced area in which you can put a small child to play, and sit at a table yourself. True, this site is only for absolutely small - year, one and a half, no more.

In the summer at the Central Children's Museum was trampoline, but under New Year he was gone. My princess was upset, that's what she expected the most, and then such a bummer.

______________________

In addition to the above entertainment, there are several labyrinths where children can run.

For example, here is the entrance to one of them:

________________________

Is there and children's hairdresser. I noticed it by accident. Passing by, I heard the screams of a little boy, whom they tried to put in a child seat in the form of a typewriter, or something, and cut it. The guy resisted as best he could, thereby drawing the attention of the visitors of the Central House of Children to his person and the hairdresser as a whole)))

I’m afraid to imagine what the prices are there ...)) Maybe the guy was crying because of this, trying to save the family budget or spend money on something more useful than a haircut, but his parents didn’t understand anything)))).. ........

Museum of Childhood.

I even shed a tear...

The museum contains toys from the past. Plastic Santa Claus and Snow Maiden, tumblers, cars, soldiers, dolls, hares, bears, squirrels, Gena the crocodile and Cheburashka...

It seems to me that we played with very kind toys.............

Viewpoint. It offers a magnificent view of Moscow. Of course, not all, but only a part, but what!

A little about prices.

I don’t know who buys goods in the Central House of Children’s Stores, because the price tag there is many times higher than in a regular shopping center. This is understandable. Such shopping centers are probably more focused on wealthy foreigners. And the locals come there to have fun, and even then not often - you won’t run into the center of Moscow.

I only made 2 purchases there. One in H&M - children's trousers for 500 rubles, the second in Mothercare - 3 pairs of children's leggings for 700 rubles. And it was also a sale.

Buying toys there is nah ... Expensive, even too much.

Unless I would buy a Japanese designer. As for me, it’s a worthwhile toy, for such money it’s not a pity. Yes, and I saw such designers only in the Central House of Artists. You can find them on the 3rd floor directly opposite the interactive complex "Visiting Alice".

I have to admit that there is enough to be found rare things, which you will not find in ordinary shopping centers in sleeping areas. Again, back to the Japanese designers... Or the author's clothing items.

On the 3rd floor I saw a small shop, rather just a stand in the middle of the "street" with clothes of some Russian designer. Cute sweatshirts, shirt dresses with embroidery in the form of owls for children and adults. Something like a family look. Nothing, it's cute. And not very expensive. On Instagram, different craftsmen sell similar clothes for the same money. And here you can at least try it on and see what you are buying.

Annoying photographers.

We ran into these guys when we went to the Central Children's Museum before the new year. First, an uncle with a kind face pestered us, and then an aunt. The latter, seeing how her daughter sits down with each pony, ran up in the hope that we would agree to at least one photo.

"Girl, what's your name?"

"Oh, come on, Dasha, I'll take a picture of you!"

And Dasya, let's pose and smile - so much attention fell out of nowhere! Why am I not a star?!

After a short photo session, it was offered to buy a photo for 350 rubles, or 2 fridge magnets for 600.

No, please. We already have such photos in our phone, I don’t want to print ...

Here he is Central Children's Store on Lubyanka. You can still write two of the same canvases about him, but I'm afraid no one will master it.

In addition, in the CDM various events take place , there are animators. Some children can't be kicked out of there)).

And yes, I almost forgot... when is the best time to go there? The staff themselves say that on weekends there are crowds of people. Therefore, if you really want to take your child there, but you don’t feel like pushing, choose a weekday. But this is in winter.

In the summer, in July, we were with children at the Central Children's House on Saturday. There are more people than on weekdays, but not very much. Apparently, everyone is on vacation in the summer.

The negative impression of the CDM will most likely be due to a large number people who are there on weekends. On Saturday, you can’t even ride the carousel there - it doesn’t work, it’s written that way.

On this I take my leave, good day to all!

Central Children's World on Lubyanka- from these words it breathes joy, ice cream, juice from glass cones, a new doll, a bunch of new things for September 1st and, in general, childhood. Memory vaguely retained the atmosphere of the old "Children's World". It appears to be a huge hall, it is now called the atrium. I remember noisy and noisy children, sweaty parents, queues, fittings, and all the same - the feeling of the Children's World. Whole world! Real, childish, magical, which you dream about and wait for, which you receive as a reward.

I remember "Children's World" of the 80s-early 90s. I went there when I was already a mother. When children in ordinary "Children's Worlds" really could not pick up anything. And in the Central - you can. There was a choice! If you arrive early, you don't waste much time. With what greed I once ran into infant rompers, vests, blouses. She grabbed like crazy, even though she herself didn’t need it anymore. I knew - I have a younger sister of marriageable age. There will be nephews. I bought sliders, it’s scary to name the price - 60 and 90 kopecks each! How useful were they!

A quarter of a century has passed since then. The country has changed. We have changed. And "Children's World" remained! For several years it stood abandoned, then for several more years - under reconstruction. Recently opened - March 31, 2015. It was a little scary to go there. Has he remained the world of childhood? Has it turned into another “shopping and entertainment center”? What toys are our tech-savvy computerized kids now playing with? What can surprise and entertain them? I received exhaustive answers to these and many other questions in the new old Central Children's World on Lubyanka.

I will note in brackets that after the opening, Detsky Mir changed its name - it became the Central Children's Store. In those years when it was closed, some other commercial network prihvatized registered trademark on ourselves, and our beloved, dear, adored from childhood Central on Lubyanka became ... Children's Store, retaining the abbreviation TsDM. I don't want to pay attention to the sign change. For me, it will forever remain Children's World. By the way, on request, the Central Children's World(and not a store) in Yandex appears what you are looking for - not some kind of children's world, but the necessary and correct one, the one in Lubyanka. Therefore, in this article, let it remain the familiar and familiar “Children's World”!
Allow me a little digression. I apologize for the terrible quality of the pictures. “Children's World” is superbly lit. Spotlights, lamps, lamps are installed everywhere, which shine directly into the lens from any point. So sorry, the photos leave a lot to be desired. I don't use a photo editor.

Arriving at the Lubyanka metro station, I was pleasantly surprised that they finally opened the exit from the metro directly to Detsky Mir. It was closed for several years due to the reconstruction of the store. It was terribly inconvenient to go up, then go down again and cross a wide area through a separate underground passage. Now everything is - as before - you go out of the subway directly to the store.

You get to the ground floor, it is equipped with fashionable modern escalators, with an invitingly glowing neon blue ribbon.

A small guide to the Children's World from -2 to the 6th floor is attached next to the elevator. Let's start from the bottom.

I rise one level and freeze in awe.

Remember!? Do you remember this amazing, high, bright central hall!? Now it has been designed in a completely different style. But he immediately seems native, thus, from childhood!

In a bright light plafond, somewhere there, in the high “sky” of the store, our most beloved heroes “live” - Ivan Tsarevich, Tsar Gvidon, Vasilisa the Beautiful against the backdrop of “Buyan Island, the kingdom of the glorious Saltan”. What do they remind? I can't believe my eyes - these are copies of illustrations by Ivan Bilibin himself!

The Small Hall is decorated with stained-glass windows based on paintings by the artist Aristarkh Lentulov.

And the clock! It seems that in the old “Children's World” there was a dial in the form of the sun? These are clearly different, modern and impressive!

And floor lamps! Really those same, original, bronze? And marble balusters! There are hundreds of them in total! This is exactly how the architect Aleksey Nikolaevich Dushkin conceived to solve the interior of the store in 1953. To restore the original appearance of Detsky Mir, marble was brought from the same deposit in the Urals!

Eight unique bronze floor lamps were restored in the atrium, marble stairs and railings were restored.

I want to go around the atrium in a circle, to consider everyone fairytale heroes ceiling. But where is it! In the middle, below, a fabulous action unfolds. On a small stage, decorated in the form of a tower, there is a magical performance.

Little visitors froze in anticipation of a miracle. Parents, it seems, have turned into babies and are also fascinated by the characters on stage. On each floor, spectators stand in open galleries around a central atrium. Why not theater? Even more than theater! From time to time all the little visitors become participants in the performance!

I linger a little in the “auditorium”. I look at his outfit. I understand that rising higher, I can assess the situation from a different angle and go further to get acquainted with the long-forgotten Central "Children's World" on Lubyanka.

Couldn't get far. After a few steps I stop at the “hut on chicken legs”.

Oh, I would like to go there. But a formidable inscription warns that adults have been ordered to enter.

Nearby is another interesting fun. Bridge with a rope net. And again - only for kids.

That's when you regret the past years! 🙂 How would I dive under the net now! The organizers of the new Children's World came up with a great idea - such a wonderful outdoor game!

I'm ready to hit the road again. But the first floor again does not let go. What are these sounds? Yes, this is an unusual musical instrument! The keys are not just a pattern on the floor. If you press them a little harder, then each of them will sing its own note.

It is already possible for both children and adults. True, you won’t stay here for a long time, the cacophony of random sounds is annoying. But this is the opinion of an outside observer. There would be fewer people, I would go over the keys myself, you look and remember the music lessons.

And what about a bunch of enthusiastic adults? Yes, this is the department where Lego constructors are sold! And they don't just sell! On the tables are ready-made sets of parts that you can play with. Young mothers and fathers, pushing their children aside, bent over the craft with enthusiasm, forgetting about parental responsibilities!

And the children are looking at huge crafts from Lego with interest.

Here, different sets are offered to choose from, and I hear how parents persuade their son to buy another constructor, not the one he chose.
- Look, here is exactly the same house as in yours. Plus a train! Let's buy with the train!
But the kid stubbornly presses the chosen box to himself. He doesn't need a train. His parents want him.
Without waiting for the end of the family drama, I leave the department with Lego sets and wistfully remember how hard it was for me to “get” a miserable set for my son.

After a few steps, I hear a familiar sound. I come closer and I am surprised to recognize the board game “hockey”. This time dad and daughter came to the ice field! Great!

Here again hangs the invocative motto: “We invite you to play!” Each game can not only be touched, seen, but also played! And no prohibitions and shouts - be careful, do not spoil! Each outlet has several trial games.

I'm getting curious, how much do toys cost now? For example, Stuffed Toys and sets of doll furniture.

I go up and take off a couple of racks with prices.

Yes, not everyone can afford it. But you know what I noticed? The sale of toys in Detsky Mir is somehow relegated not only to the background, but even to the last plan. I did not notice a single whining little boy who boringly begs:
- Well, ma-am, well, ku-u-upi-i! Po-zha-a-a-luista-a-a-a!
Rather, the parents tried to divert their children from the numerous amusements and attractions in order to fulfill the main task of coming to the "Children's World" - to buy what they needed or what was promised.

I'm still wandering around the first floor. Here, the little ones are fascinated looking at the small pools where the toys “grow”. Now it is clear what will come out of nondescript-looking little animals in transparent boxes.

And here, under a tree, Potapych hospitably collapsed with a samovar. So why not take a picture with him?

And at the same time with Masha, whom the children see almost every evening in the “Children's Program”.

Finally, I pull myself up and go up to the next floor in the hope of seeing children's goods here, fitting rooms, cash registers.

I look around and walk back towards the central atrium. From here, the stage is no longer seen as from the stalls, but as from the mezzanine.

Finally, children's goods - the very first vehicles in life.

Costumes for little princesses.

It is noticeably quieter and calmer here than the level below. But even on this floor there are corners of children's creativity. There is a big spreading tree. On one of the branches sits a girl with a book. I still do not understand who she is, when I hear an enthusiastic children's voice:
- Mom, Alice! Look, it's Alice!
Well, who else could it be? Of course, she is the heroine of Alice in Wonderland.

And here is a description of how you can play here. It turns out that you need to go to the table-tablet. Choose a drawing tool - a brush or a stamp. Then decide what color of the palette you want to paint the character. If you make a mistake, no problem! There are "cancel" and "eraser" buttons. Ready? Then, press the “start” button and your hero will come to life on the screen!

Now let's go higher.

I prefer the escalator. But you can also ride the elevator.

Or remember our Soviet childhood and count the steps up, there is also an ordinary staircase.

You won't have to turn your head for a long time on the third floor. Right in front of you is another attraction.

Near him, you immediately want to say: “Shhh! Quiet! It's a reading room! No noise here!”
Yes, it is an “interactive library”. To use it, you need a special mobile app Central "Children's World". One has only to point your mobile at the code of the book you like and you already have it - downloaded!

Can't wait to flip through an e-page right away? No obstacles, but on the contrary - a comfortable sofa!

Before climbing higher, there are pressing questions. Answers are marked on each floor.

The third floor is a bit disappointing. I suspect this is temporary. By the opening of the store did not have time to equip everything outlets. Look, it seems to me that in these pavilions there will soon be children's goods.

And I already wondered why the official website of the "Children's World" speaks of 20% of the space allocated for children's games and fun. It seemed to me quite the opposite - here, if not 80% of the children's area, then at least 50! But this is only in the first weeks of Detsky Mir's work. They will bring new goods for children and the Central Children's Store will again become a children's store. And not at the expense of attractions for kids!

On the fourth floor, look at the stage again!

And the clock from here already looks much more solid!

This clock is the main attraction of the modern “ Children's World" on Lubyanka. They are called "Rocket". The famous chimes on the Spasskaya Tower received an unexpected competitor in their face. And not only historical chimes! "Rocket" worthy of competing with and London's Big Ben.

Why Rocket? So the oldest domestic watch factory "Rocket" immortalized and glorified its name.
The clock is visible from any floor. But the higher you climb, the closer and closer the amazing structure becomes. The operation of the mechanism can be observed from the fifth floor. This is the largest clock mechanism on the planet! The watchmakers of the factory assure that the mechanism will serve without fail for a century!

The weight of the “Rocket” is 4500 kg, that is, 4.5 tons. The dial is twisted no less, but five thousand details! All cogs-gears are made of various metals. There is not only aluminum and steel here, but even titanium (as in “Rocket without it! 🙂) and pure gold!
The pendulum is also huge - its three-meter diameter hangs from a height of 13 meters!

I carefully approach the edge of the gallery so that I can estimate the height of the building from here.

I take a couple of shots and run away, what to do - I'm afraid of heights, it's already creepy to look down here.

The fifth floor is the so-called Kidburg. (I’ll grumble! Is it really impossible to call this game Detgrad? Or somehow differently, but in Russian! 🙁)

This is a real children's city with all necessary institutions- post office, city administration, hospital, port, rescue service, television station.
Is in Kidburg and a shop, a bakery with a bakery, a cafe, a flower shop, an architectural studio, even a travel agency and a mine.
Here the children will play role-playing games - “trying on” different professions, service. During the game, children will be given not only a passport, but also work book. Does your little man still not know who he would like to become? In this in Kidburg help too - there is a labor exchange in the city!

Please note that the cost of visiting gaming halls on weekdays is cheaper than on weekends, holidays and vacation days.

Another "highlight" of the fifth floor - "Dinosaur Show". I can imagine what an amazing sight it is, it’s not without reason that people are queuing for expensive tickets.

In order not to get bored in the queue, you can fearlessly stick your head into the open mouth of the monster!

Or compare how much a “human cub” is smaller than a fetus in a dinosaur egg.

"Dinosaur Show" works on sessions, every half an hour.

And here is the price list.

Dinopark is an exhibition of prehistoric lizards. They are almost alive - they move, flap their wings, click their predatory mouth. Here you can imagine how huge they were - after all, their models are made in full size. And you can also climb into the egg of an ancient animal and play as its cub!

On the fifth floor there is an opportunity to be in outer space. You need to go to the round pavilion “Journey to Mars”, twist the ball of the remote control in different directions and move in space!

Text will appear on the right side of the screen and you will find out where you got on your space journey!

Tired? Hungry? Then welcome to the sixth floor!

This floor is completely occupied by “glutton rows” :). I didn’t notice a good restaurant there, Grabli is a self-service canteen. (The smell of very good coffee permeated the second floor). But you won't stay hungry there, system fast food working for glory!

Are there more powers? Then - go ahead! On the roof! Let's visit the Museum of Childhood another time!

An observation deck is open on the top floor. The views from there are amazing! It seems that "Children's World" is the only building in the city center where you can easily and free of charge go up and admire the panorama of the center of Moscow. (Restaurants in the National and Ritz-Carlton hotels are not taken into account, everything is not so simple there).
Two disadvantages:
It's very, very crowded on Sunday afternoon. Passages on observation deck narrow, people stood close to the edge of the roof.
- The barriers are high. They are glass, they do not constitute a serious obstacle for review. Taking pictures is difficult. Only at the corner joints there are gaps where the lens fits freely.
I won’t brag about the photos, I shot against the sun, (what to do?) I’ll show a couple.

Now - down to the first level.

I completed the program - I got acquainted again with such a beloved, wonderful “Children's World”. A bit sad to leave. Moreover, when the performance ended, the artists went into the hall to the audience and the children joined in a fun game.

Do you think that I paid little attention to the store itself, to children's goods? I dare to assure you, "Children's World" is a store. You won't leave without the right things.

However, this is no ordinary store. This is "Children's World". Fairy. Wonderful. Game. “The very best home!”

Have you forgotten how to get to Children's World on Lubyanka? Or is it your first time in Moscow and it doesn't matter if you find your bearings in the capital? Don't worry, together

Central Children's Store (TsDM).
