Near the territory of the Borets plant - a plot of 12.8 hectares on Skladochnaya Street, vl. 6, near the metro station "Savelovskaya" in the north of Moscow - the owner has changed. The site, as follows from the extract from the Unified state register real estate, registered at Borets LLC, in mid-January, became owned by Platforma Investment Management LLC, a structure of the Platforma investment company.

One of the founders of the "Platform" was the owner of the PIK group of companies Sergey Gordeev. In 2014, Platforma officially announced the sale of its share by Gordeev to Dmitry Rodin. The company's message noted that Gordeev will receive certain advantages when investing in new Platforma projects.

The acquired site will be developed by PIK, according to two Moscow realtors familiar with the details of the deal.

Boris Golubev, Managing Director of Platforma, confirmed the purchase of the factory territory, noting that the investment company plans to develop the site on its own. He did not disclose the terms of the deal. A spokesman for PIK declined to comment. It was not possible to contact the representative of the Borets plant.

PIK Group is the largest housing developer in Russia. In 2017, the company sold 1.84 million sq. m, having gained 216.1 billion rubles. The main owner of the group is its president Sergey Gordeev with a 74.6% stake. Another 7.6% belongs to VTB Bank, and 17.8% of the shares are freely floated on the Moscow Exchange.

During the years of the Great Patriotic War the company produced shells, and since the 1950s has specialized in pumps for oil production.

In 2007, the American oil service company Weatherford International acquired a 33% stake in PK Borets LLC. In 2008, production moved from Moscow to a compressor plant in Krasnodar, and the development department remained in the capital.

In 2013, the share of Weatherford International, according to Moody's, was bought out by two owners, whose names were not disclosed. The Reuters agency named Gregory Shtulbert and Mark Shabat, immigrants from the USSR, as beneficiaries of the company.

The cost of the site acquired by Platform is about 5 billion rubles, says Maxim Leshchev, CEO of Geo Development. Colliers International partner Vladimir Sergunin calls a fair price of 4-5 billion rubles. However, the parties could agree on other conditions: for example, on a stage-by-stage calculation as the project is implemented, Leshchev notes.
