4 Acceptance rules

5.5 Milling cutters should be tested on general and special-purpose milling machines that meet the standards of accuracy and rigidity established for them.

5.6 Milling cutters of types 1, 2, versions 1, 2, 3 should be tested on workpieces made of gray cast iron grade SCh 18 according to GOST 1412 with a hardness of 180...220 HB; cutters type 2 version 4- on blanks made of steel grade 45 according to GOST 1050 with a hardness of 197 ... 207 HB. In blanks, a rectangular groove is pre-milled, equal in width to the diameter of the neck(d 1 + 2) mm with allowance on the bottom of the groove 1- 2 mm.

5.7 As a cutting fluid when working on steel, a 5% (by mass) solution of emulsol in water is used with a flow rate of 6- 8 l/min; when working on cast iron, it should be cooled with a jet of air that removes chips from the cutting zone.

5.8 Tests of milling cutters for performance, average and established periods of durability should be carried out in the modes indicated in the table.
